Unsuredness – A Review

To the man unsure.

Need I remind you, that we’ve killed miles? Single steps became small battles that led to 360 wars won a year.

To the man unsure.

We’ve scaled mountains. Trails or not, we’ve touched peaks and been where few have stepped.

To the man unsure.

We’ve beaten the clock. Started our lives a few years ahead of the curve, made moments from time that seemed wasted, taken minutes from the earth and put them in our pockets.

To the man unsure, there is a whole wide world out there and together we’ve seen a lot of it. We’ve been in the dregs, the woven bags, and we’ve floated in the ever-changing and always churning waters. Warm before we soaked. We made those tides better just from being there.

You’ve every right to have the emotions you’re having. I have them too. Always. But when you go to close your eyes for the first time today, or the last time in your life remember.

Those feelings never stopped you before.

Unsureness, is not a sign of a wavering heart, it’s simply the cost of someone who cares too much to let anyone down. Especially themselves. But those experiences you’re so afraid of facing, aren’t things you have to do alone. They’re not things you go through silently.

Kick and scream, just like you taught me.

To the man I know. The one who hides his insecurities and anxieties from even himself. The one who knows best. The one who thinks best. The one who tries.

To that man, and no other man. You’ve got the chops to take those scary steps and branch out and blossom into the white-barked tree who guides the way home. Up on the hill you’ve died for, let your true self shine.

Don’t feel rooted. Don’t feel pressured. Just, feel.
